I assume we all know this, but whenever any of you get your car, please let the rest of us know so we can actually let ourselves get excited! Until then I feel the only way to cope is to expect it is not leaving port until May.

Dealer told me today the Volvo told them they are releasing from the port starting Monday. This is here in CA.

Just poked "Jeffrey" and haven't heard anything from dealership since last Tuesday. I'm probably more impatient than @Seattleman given the car is less than 50 miles away from dealership.

Congrats! I sold my Escape through a dealer using the KBB Instant Offer 2 weeks ago and have been dealing as a single car household till the XC40 arrives. Luckily both my partner and I are work from home still.

Just poked "Jeffrey" and haven't heard anything from dealership since last Tuesday. I'm probably more impatient than @Seattleman given the car is less than 50 miles away from dealership.

I pinged my dealer today and said their cars were still at port, pending software updates. However, these aren't preorders. I am waiting for them to get at least one more XC40 so I can have the current demo unit. This particular dealer didn't have another well equiped model coming till late April.

The Recharges are to be released by the end of this week, and then shipped to the dealer. It can take one to two weeks for delivery to the dealer depending on how quickly the transport truck is filled, as they cannot leave the port until they are full, and how far away the dealer is from the port. We will send you an update once we have been informed your vehicle has cleared the port.

My dealer (San Jose) is 300+ miles from Port Hueneme, but on the plus side, there are probably a lot of Bay Area cars there, so the truck should fill up fast.

I’ve given up hope that these cars are real. I feel like it has all been an elaborate hoax perpetrated by Tesla to distract people from their own shoddy build quality and AI that will lead the robot uprising and takeover of the humans.
