I wonder if it will ever be possible to change the charge rate/amps via the app? Do other EVs have this functionality for their apps?
BMW i4 allows changes to current limit from app. I bet others do, too. If we can change charge SoC limit then I agree we should also be able to set current limit.

Keep sending feedback to Volvo!!!!!

Tesla has charge rate in app

Really I’ve come to accept our limited app function. Is not ideal but it works ok. So many obvious features have been overlooked but with my smart evse I can handle most charging scenarios with a bit of math (calculate the charging amps, set it along with charge timer allows me to charge to x% at y time)

TIL that I can change the amp value on my charger using its app. So I can set the max amp on the car and then adjust the charger on its app accordingly. Never noticed that this was an option for ChargePoint chargers before.

The closer you keep the pack at 50%, the more longevity you get. If you can get away with 80% or even 70%, you will get a much longer life out of the pack, though you could argue other things may fail first before the pack if you baby it too much. Since the car isn't the most efficient on road trips, even an extra 10 miles of range is nice to have once the car gets to 100,000 miles on the odometer.

Does it make sense for daily use to keep car at 50%? If you work from home, maybe. If you commute, probably not.

Really helpful -- thanks!

I'm still waiting for 5.43 to be released on Android.
I updated to 5.43.1 on Android yesterday, but the charge level adjustment is still nonexistent.
I'm hoping that it'll just show up once they flick the switch to allow Android users to use this feature.

Just found this in the Home Screen in the charge part of the app. Never thought to look in that! It seems to work well. But yet again I won’t be holding my breath. I’m in the uk.

How ironic that the car has Android built-in but limits many features. Instead, all of the love goes toward the iPhone (CarPlay, charging level, and faster updates). I'll bet that the product manager likely has an iPhone and thinks that Android users are second class citizens.
