UPDATE from Volvo app revision history as others have already pointed out:

    We've added a new feature that allows you to set a maximum charging limit for XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, C40, EC40 and EX40 cars. You can now manage the charge percentage of your car’s battery directly from the Volvo Cars app. Requires car software version 3.0.3 or later. Feature rollout occurs by market region and may take some time to reach you.

I updated to 5.43.1 on Android yesterday, but the charge level adjustment is still nonexistent.
I'm hoping that it'll just show up once they flick the switch to allow Android users to use this feature.

How ironic that the car has Android built-in but limits many features. Instead, all of the love goes toward the iPhone (CarPlay, charging level, and faster updates). I'll bet that the product manager likely has an iPhone and thinks that Android users are second class citizens.
