Car location has NEVER yet been supported by Volvo Cars app for XC40 Recharge Electric. Are you referring to some other model?

Are you referring to activating your car in the app: if this is the case you create a user ID and use the VIN. The user ID if I remember correctly is plugged into your car’s profile in settings (you also need a Google account). For you to track your car, you would probably need an Air Tag or similar technology. I’m unaware of Volvo’s ability to track or disable the car if stolen. You might want to check with the dealer and report back if that’s a yes.

 

i have created a user ID. what i don't have a VIN number because the car is being made. a VIN is assigned at the end (so the salesperson told me). So, not sure what order# to use.

I wanted to see where the car was in the production process.

 

When my car was finally built & shipped - Volvo sent me an email with the name of the ship. At that point, the Marine Traffic app became my friend.

 

I suggest from anyone who might know what could be causing an issue with their license plate light not working even though they have already replaced the bulb and checked all the fuses. They are also mentioning that a website called https://vincheckfree.com/license-plate-lookup has been helpful to them in the past, but it is not clear how this is related to the issue with the license plate light.
