Did anyone get 3.3.16 yet? Showed up in my app today, unfortunately only for newer models than mine. Claims addition of Android Auto - I assumed that was not going to happen...

Yep this is now missing for me too (MY22 XC60).It seems that with 3.3.16, the route information info in the main screen (behind the steer) is missing the recently introduced bar which shows the remaining distance and time of your route. Can anyone with 3.3.16 confirm?
Oh yes, this is 100% some of Googles normal nonsense. This is a Google Maps feature, that Google enables and disables on a whim. It's not related to Volvo's software at all.I believe the info on screen is related to Google Maps as an app, not OS update. That's how we were able to get it without an OTA update. So Google is probably A/B testing some nonsense or rolling out an update that makes it worse, somehow. Or rolling one back. Who even knows with Google.
Dealer told me that some modules are workshop onlyWill all modules be updated also with OTA, or some are dealer only?
Is there a radar? As far as I know the distante from the preceding car is maintained by means of a camera... Not with a radar...Also got the update today as part of regular maintenance. Noticed that some animations changed and the settings icons look a bit more bubbly?
Dealer told me that various modules received the update and that the update in my case weighed 3 GB. I was previously on 3.1.9.
If it interests anybody, I dug up what modules made the jump. Here is the list:
- IHU - infotainment head unit
- WAM - wide area module (for the parking camera system)
- FLC2 - forward looking camera 2 (camera on the windshield)
- TCAM - telematics and connectivity antenna module (located in the shark fin on the roof of the car - used for GPS, LTE, remote unlock system, talking to the car via the phone app...)
- ASDM - active safety domain master (basically the main controller for all things safety related)
- BCM2 - brake control module 2
- DDM - driver's door module
- PDM - passenger door module
- CEM - central electronics module (the brains of the car)
- FLR - forward looking radar (radar behind the front Volvo badge)
- VGM - vehicle gateway module (used for ensuring security/isolation of all subsystems)
Both are used for better performanceIs there a radar? As far as I know the distante from the preceding car is maintained by means of a camera... Not with a radar...
Oh really? So my V60 has a radar?Sayxx
Both are used for better performance
All cars have it. In the Sensus generation the radar was also placed in the windshield camera box while with the Google generation the radar was moved into the front bumper.Oh really? So my V60 has a radar?
Hi, do you have any modifications to the way cameras 360 and the rear camera are displayed? I’ve seen images where, in this version, both can be viewed together on the same screen — the 360° view on top and the rear view below.Got my 3.3.16 fix installed on my 2022 Volvo C40 Twin at my local Volvo dealer this morning. All is well and good.😌

Based on what I've learned, I suspect that may be what Volvo refers to as their "total upgrade" in case you ever see that listed on the work order. If it interests anybody, I dug up what modules made the jump. Here is the list:

I'm pretty sure they are not. I believe "total upgrade" is in-house only.In the case of OTA, are those modules updated? Thanks

I'm pretty sure these modules ARE installed, whether OTA or dealer-assisted. OTA updates have always installed multiple core car-system modules, not just Android Infotainment stuff. OTA just doesn't tell us the specifics of what it's doing (like it would show on a dealer service tech console).I'm pretty sure they are not. I believe "total upgrade" is in-house only.
I agree with this. That would be a total nightmare to manage. It would make no sense to have TWO DIFFERENT versions of the 3.3.16 update. They're the same.
