Hello!

OTA (Over The Air) Software Updates
Updates in software version 2.11
  • The YouTube app.
  • Adds the ability to turn off the wireless phone charger.
  • Adds the ability to schedule the timing of future software installations (OTAs).
  • The towbar folding function has been improved to be more responsive.
  • Improvements to the cars visual position in the center display for the 360° camera.
  • Minor drivetrain adjustments that do not affect performance, certification, homologation, or environmental protection.
Which also answers... It's not 3.0. :)
Great to hear we're going to be able to turn off the phone heater. I'm happy with a short charging cable instead ;)

Europe also

It looks trimmed compared to the Volvo USA support site (no 360 cam update, hitch improvements, etc). Furthermore, it looks like YouTube won't be available in countries where Volvo doesn't offer Automotive Services through the inbuilt Volvo SIM card.
There’s a Volvo dealer on Facebook situated in Lithuania (which has no inbuilt sim connectivity) who installed 2.11 and YouTube gets installed & works perfectly via hotspot

I went to the dealer today for the update because I was stuck on 2.6 (newly purchased C40 last week), and was expecting 2.10. They updated the car to 2.11 and can confirm all of the features work great. Checked YouTube for a minute and it works well too. I'm in Arizona, USA by the way.

Awesome! Congrats and welcome to the forum.

Since we don't have the DJ in the States, I'm trying to figure out if we're really missing anything. I imagine the Journal's file strucutre is some kind of database, orgainized by day/time. What does one see when one opens the Journal? The Driving Journal's list of features says "information can be exported." Is that of any value? How would that work? I recall some users have opened a Journal file in a spreadsheet app but that's of zero interest to me.
I used it in my XC90 T8. I used to export it to a spreadsheet (there was an option to do this in the phone app) and keep track of my gas vs. electricity usage. IIRC it only saved the last 90 days. The fields were:

Category - Business, Personal, etc. editable by the user
Started - Date and time
Start odometer (miles)
Start address
Stopped - Date and time
End odometer (miles)
End address
Duration
Distance (miles)
Fuel consumption (gallons)
Title - There was some generic value but it could be edited by the user on the phone app
Battery consumption (kWh)
Battery regeneration (kWh)
User Notes - Editable by user

Most informative, thank you!

You're welcome. I'd settle for having the date/time, start and end odo, the battery consumption, and especially regen. Right now, I take a picture of the trip computer at the end of my drive, reset TM, and then put the data into a spreadsheet. Dumping the data directly from the car would be so much easier.

Also, the Vivaldi browser has been added…
Installing Waze, Amazon Video and Vivaldi Browser apps on my C40. I particularly use Waze when I am out of town traveling 🧳. Today I just “Waze” out of my iPhone directly but let’s see if this installed C40 app changes the experience or keeps it the same.
Cant wait for YouTube! 😌

I just Installed Waze, Amazon Video and a brand new parking app called “Park Whiz”. This app worked like a charm on the C40, and I’ll use it to find good parking spots especially when I head downtown where street space to park is super limited.

Waze -downloaded and integrates nicely. When I key in a destination address, it seems to churn on me. Will
Continue to test it out.

Amazon Video - downloaded successfully, just need to integrate it with my Amazon credentials (if I can ever remember my password, darn!).

We got V2.11 at the dealer on Tuesday. Can't see YouTube availability yet in play store here in Australia. We were able to install Amazon Prime video.
Thom Iov showed a quick YT video on his IG feed this morning and he’s in Sweden! Looks really cool and the interface experience looks amazing.

Amazon Video is in and Waze is working great!

wonder if we will start running into storage space issues now with all the apps available. I don’t think the car comes with a ton of memory
