Started driving out of my driveway to the Rockies game a week ago Sunday. Front right tire obviously flat. Took the tire to tire shop. Unrepairable -- slice on the sidewall. Got a new tire free from Volvo dealership because wife had wisely and over my objections insisted on road hazard coverage. Don't remember hitting anything like a pothole or road junk. Installed the tire, then went round the car checking pressures. Rear right tire at only 20 psi. Took it off and there were two exact same screws embedded in the tire, along same line 8 inches apart. Took it to tire shop. Unrepairable because embedded screws too close to the sidewall. So tomorrow I'm off to the dealership to get another tire under what is now my favorite coverage. Am I paranoid to think some ICE fanatic went after my tires while I was parked at a golf course the day before I found the first flat? Seems crazy, but as the saying goes, even paranoids have enemies.
