Hi all, any help much appreciated. My 2 year old XC40 PHEV has suddenly developed a ‘propulsion system service required’ error out of the blue. It seems quite catastrophic as it’s telling me that the car cannot restart and to drive straight to a service centre, which I could not do as I was driving to work so had to quickly go home to switch cars.
The car is now sitting on my drive refusing to budge. Do I have to ask Volvo (I’m in the UK) to come out and put it on the back of a trailer? It seems unbelievable to me that a car only a few years old and done barely 15k miles is now so broken it can’t be moved.
I’ve looked on the forum and it seems many people had this error several years ago but few since then. I recently (few days ago) updated to a new software version over the air but driven it fine since then.
