Not sure a number is useful on its own. I got a big contract discount and spec'd up the R-Design T4 (petrol, obviously) to more or less what the launch edition offered for about €48K. The delay is a big disappointment particularly because the dealer was still 'just about to contact me' when I called to ask for details seeing as my original delivery date was approaching. Now we're in a negotiation - he's offered me the XC60 with +/- same spec with a €2.5K supplement (he says that's an additional €7.5K discount on the XC60) but I'm stuck in my brain on the XC40, and the dealer has to do something cos he gave me a trade-in date on my current car for the end of June. In that case there'll be a courtesy car to use free in the meantime. Probably going to go for the second option and wait it out for the XC40 but the Belgian market is a bit weird, especially for resales, and a car registered in December of one year isn't considered any newer than a January registered car from the same year when calculating resale or trade-in value... I've done quite a bit of on-line research and not really found loads about these delivery delays. I did see an e-mail at the dealership talking about a "challenge" with getting parts from suppliers but think this is a major embarrassment to Volvo in getting the Car of the Year on the streets - not seen a single one on the roads in Belgium except for demonstrators so far. I even checked the Swedish press and they only talk about the volume of orders being a success leading to expansion of manufacturing in their Swedish and Chinese factories. Someone has poop on their face with this car launch.
