Hi folks,

Collected my P8 last week and all was well until last night…Overnight charge was ‘interrupted’ and battery status on the VOC app showing as unavailable.

I tried the restart via menu and 20 sec hard reboot to no avail.
Tried network reset, nothing.
Tried factory reset, nothing.
It seems the modem reset via the screen defrost button doesn’t work on the UK model, which is a shame as now it’s reeling me it’s no longer connected to the Internet - was previously LTE via the onboard modem. I’ve even tried local WiFi (couldn’t see my 2.4Ghz said and tethered connection via Bluetooth (connected but no Internet being seen by car).
As I now have no internet connection to the car, I cannot re-establish the VOC pairing or complete the Volvo account sign-in process.
I’m a techie, so happy enough resetting and hacking around, but right now I’m stumped.
Unless anyone has any bright ideas, I guess the car’s back to the dealer when they can fit me in…

Thoughts/suggestions anyone? Anyone else in the UK experiencing issues?

Good morning fellow XC40 owners.
A brief update:
After leaving the car to fully charge overnight, I was surprised to see the LTE module was working. So I reinstalled all the apps and accounts including VOC. However, for some reason, battery status still remained as unavailable in the app (IOS if it makes any difference).
To my surprise, when I got into the car at 1600, LTE was again down… A hard reset during the journey brought it back, but I noticed that it was preferring my iPhone tether as opposed to the LTE, so I went into bluetooth connections and disabled the internet sharing. Now it’s showing LTE in the top left and , surprise, the VOC app is showing the charge status.
So, all in all, a rather disappointing situation, somewhat mitigated by downloading offline google maps, but still, it doesn’t inspire confidence during my one month trial period.
So, the debate as to whether I keep or return rolls on…
