Hi ya'll I don't own an xc40 (yet), but my beloved '08 TL-S is on it's last legs, and the xc40 will likely take its place.

I'm hoping my current car will hold out until the hybrid is released so that I can take advantage of tax credits. I also just want something a bit more fuel efficient.

If I'm lucky, I'll also do overseas delivery so I can subsidize part of my honeymoon. Haha.

I've got a lot of expenses coming in the next year (moving, getting married, replacing my car), so if any of y'all have any money-saving tips/tricks, I really appreciate it.

Welcome to the forum Tammie, always glad to have another interested member join up. There have been quite a few owners who have shared the amazing experience of buying overseas, and if you throw in a honeymoon, that could something to remember. Doesn't look like it will be much of a wait for the hybrid model, though allocations could still pose an issue.

Hey Tammie, happy to have you join us! Sounds like you are long overdue for a new vehicle and you've made an excellent choice in the XC40. Have you had the opportunity to see one in person or take it for a test drive? If you haven't already that's probably all you'll need to finalize the decision.

Hello and welcome. Good to hear that you are considering a Volvo for your next purchase. Any particular reason why you are moving away from Acura? By the time the hybrid model arrives, you might actually be able to find some great CPO's. The T5 already fares better than both the X1 and Q3 in regards to fuel economy.

I think I can speak for OP when I say that Acura has gotten boring.
Long gone are the days of fun Acura's that were well built inside and out. Recently they've been coming back, slowly but surely.

I am also waiting (impatiently!) for the hybrid -- was a bit disappointed to hear the all-electric was going to debut first:(. Also want to do the EDP and am waiting to hear about the price point on the XC40 hybrid and how long the wait will be between ordering and pick up.
