Wireless phone charging

The wireless charging pad in my XC40 will not charge my iPhone X if I leave it in the protective 3rd party case. I have two different brand wireless chargers in the house that have no problem wirelessly charging my iPhone in its case. Has anyone else encountered such problem? If not, and you use a case, what case do you use as I am willing to consider a change in cases. I am not willing to take the phone in/out of the case every time I get in the car nor leave the phone unprotected.

Both me and my wife have iPhone X and both with cases and use the wireless charger with no problems. I use a very thin case, I think is the thinnest in the market but my wife uses a regular case that's very protective and still works. These are the cases we have:

Hope it helps!

I put my iPhone X back in its case and it has been charging reliably in my XC40 the last several weeks. I think I may have pushed it too far forward originally and it was not centered on the sweet spot of the charger. Anyway, it seems to charge consistently now.
