We live at about 9,000 feet and frequently drive in deep snow. Ended up going with a square setup on 18 inch wheels. The car is driving great, plenty of traction to make it up our steep driveway!
Wheels: American Racing 948, 18x8, 40mm offset, 1800 pound load rating. ~5mm of room for the caliper, no issues with balancing weights hitting etc.
Tires: Blizzak DM-V2 in 235/55r18s
