Why does VolvoCars app (version 5.49 iOS) so often say my car is offline?

For some time now (and several versions of the app) the iOS VolvoCars app very often says my car (2022 XC40, Software 3.2.8) is offline, and that I need to start it to connect. This is nonsense. In the most recent occurrence, I had just gotten back from a short trip. I went in to the app to try to set up the charging account (little luck there, but that's another story). All fine. Then I do some other things, and a few minutes later the app reports the car offline. I understand that when I leave it for weeks that happens, but five minutes? What am I doing wrong here?

Perhaps related, but lately I've noticed my 2021 XC40 seems to go into "hibernation" mode more often & more quickly. I recall it used to take something like 4-5 days of inactivity before the computer went to sleep and "hibernated", requiring an Infotainment reboot/restore the next time it's driven. Lately it seems like I only have to wait 24-36 hours before the next drive requires me to wait for infotainment reboot/restore.

I haven't updated my car system software in a while (still at 3.1.9) - so not sure when/how this actually changed.

I didn't drive my 2023 XC40 recharge for about 4 or 5 days, and the Volvo iOS app couldn't connect. I used my car's key for to lock and unlock it, and then the app could connect. The next day, I checked my app and it couldn't connect again. So I took the car out for a drive, and a couple of days later, the pp can continue to connect. So, seems there's some logic that if it hasn't been driven for a while, maybe its network connectivity shuts down to save battery?
