Waze available as a native AAOS app

From your phone app that's linked to your car, My Waze > Settings Gear Icon > Map Display > Unselect "Show Wazers"

It's possible on Android/Android Auto but I could not find a way to disable it on AAOS.

That did it. Seems like the idea is to configure Waze on your phone, and the AAOS instance will follow along.

I've download it, and I have problem to logging in. I scanned the QR code shown on the AAOS screen and waze app on my iphone just keep telling me there is problem to log in, try later. anyone has clue what's went wrong?

Did you scan it from the IOS Waze app? Or from a standard QR code scanner?

From camera of my iPhone. After scan it, Waze app launched on the iPhone then telling me sorry, something went wrong…..etc. I tried to remove the app from both Volvo and iPhone then re-install it, same thing still there…..

I had the same problem
I finally got to solve it logging out from iPhone app and logging in again
After that, reading the qrcode activated the AAOS app

I like having it as part of the cars apps, seems to work about as good as on CarPlay except the km vs mph.. Nice to see more options coming to the cars list of apps..

I am also still not able to connect. I installed, reinstalled, logged in and out in any sequence, but nothing.

Lets start from scratch
1. Install in car
2. Open the Link which leads to the android store
3. Install on android phone
and then? I assume I use the same google account I have connected to in my volvo, not any volvo id credentials?

Hi Raoul - I'm not an expert, and am using an iPhone, but one thing I'd suggest is try swapping your steps 1 & 3. Delete app from car and make sure it's installed on phone first, and you're logged in with your Google account. Change a couple settings and try the app on your phone; make sure it's working fine. Then, try to install in car, signing in with same Google log-in. I know it communicates through your account, with your phone. When I had trouble changing the units from metric, I was only able to resolve it by toggling units in the phone, then going back to the car, where it had magically now been changed.

I've used Waze in the C40 on a couple road trips, and it does work well... wish there were better graphics (perhaps a map???) in the center display, but prefer Waze to the standard map.

I still use the version on CarPlay, the car based version is wonky and doesn’t operate the same seamless way the CarPlay version does… I’m sure it will get better with updates but the phone version works flawlessly, for me anyway..

Anyone else seeing the speed cameras on the map now. After the weird connection issues a couple days ago where all my destinations showed the distance but no time estimate but was starting to announce "speed traps" (for speed cameras), I'm now seeing all the speed cameras in our area. Nice change. Maybe related to the May update? My play store is showing it was updated in May.

Also (hopefully not already noted), if you want both Waze on the center display with route and the Google map on the dash it is possible with a workaround.

1. Open Waze and set route.
2. Use home button to return to home view
3. Open Google maps, select any route (I just got whatever comes up on the suggestion)
4. Use home button to return to home view
5. Open Waze (this will cancel the route in GMaps including the route guidance on the dash but keep the map there and you'll still have the route on Waze that you selected in 1)

It resets the moment you select a new route in Waze and you need to repeat steps 2 to 5 of you want it up again.
