Amazing news! This is going to be incredibly convenient for me! QOL goes way 🦸‍♂️!
Yep it's there. Lovely. Increases security. Waze/community saved me from a couple of wheel destroying pothole.

I installed it but you need your cellphone to active it which I did not have with me at the time.

I had no hope. Glad to be proven wrong.

Shame it doesn't make use of the driver's display, the map goes away and it just shows the instructions.

Still nice!
Yes, I am seeing this all over the internet! Heading out to my car now to check.

Apparently same thing with Apple Car Play. I'm ok with this compromise given I have a choice between using Waze or GMap.

Installed! I had to search for it. It was not under "Explore All Apps" at the time, but now it is.

Can anyone report on vehicle integration and charging?

Waze added EV charging but I have been unable to get chargers to show up in Waze. However, as a Waze beta tester, I am running a slightly different version of the software (on my phone.)

Here is the Waze announcement for this topic:

I just installed it. Unfortunately it has no integrated music app, which is nice feature in phone version. If you search for chargers it comes with a list - so there is no problem. But the question is, and I am sure that we all want answer on that question is the preheat function working? I already said that starting preheat function integrated with Google maps will bring trouble.. It is a shame that we do not have preheat button to start preheat independed of navigation app...

Actualy my preffered navigation app on phone is Sygic. It has few nice features which you do not have on other apps, for instance list of rest stations on the highway and distance to them, offline maps... It is payed app, but for the phone the price is ok. There is a version for AAOS, but it is very basic and they want 3 times more money than mobile version. So I discarted it after first drive. But, I use it on Android Auto (over Ottocast) and this works perfectly. Sygic is on the middle screen, together with music app, voice is set just for alerts (for speed cameras), and Google maps works in the same time on instrument screen vith voice navigation. Perfect combination. Will try Waze next days to see if that works good for me.

Waze is in the Google Play store now for my '23 C40. Installed it and linked it to my phone; seems to work in the garage (haven't driven with it installed). If you set Sound On, it silences whatever audio you were using; so set to Alerts Only. I notice all distances and speeds are metric (km, meters, etc.) What's up with that? How to change or set it to same as the Waze app in my iPhone?
First drive findings:
1) You can't enter an address - only can search their categories or use a saved destination/home/etc.
2) Not using the drivers map display when actually navigating (but Google Map displays when just showing Waze map with traffic, etc.). I am hoping software v2.9 will bring it for Waze as well as CarPlay. But we do get upcoming turn/exit text info.
3) No integration with Google (calendar events), unlike on the Android app.
4) Alerts will play in background (police, accident) even if you have the app launched and not displayed.

Given the recent announcements of AAOS going to more and more car manufacturers, I'm sure they were under pressure to get this app out a.s.a.p.

I corrected the units by toggling the units in the AAOS system sub menu, then rebooting the head unit.
How do you change the units?!?! It's currently kM and kM/hr. Nevermind the answer is 👆
Not a bad first attempt. It's sometimes hard to not compare the two but the significantly more polished phone app has had so many years of refinement. So it's apples versus oranges.

I'm not a fan of the way the map shifts your vehicle based on the info boxes. If rather have some more translucent boxes then ever touching where my vehicle aligns on the map.

The UI seems very basic and maybe even unfinished at this stage. Might be my own fault to not be able to separate the car vs phone.

I'm happy at launch it syncs with your phone Waze account. Should be expected but sometimes what you think should be commonly expected just leads to disappointment so happy that's there. I guess it was essential given you can't really change a lot of the preferences/customizations in the car and still need the phone app.

I'm pleased that they are attempting to design it for the car versus something like porting over the phone version. I feel like this opens future possibilities to having the best possible car experience.

I really dislike not having a map on my instrument panel with a route set. I didn't realize how much I used it until now because I kept looking over to the center display. Even with the phone Waze, I set it and then usually turn off the phone screen. Having a big screen when I need to look for routes or check the traffic is still a huge improvement.

Overall, very happy so far with this first attempt after about 100 kilometers.

I wish the speed camera alerts would show up in the countries where that is allowed.

Since Waze does not show SOC or preheat the pack en route to DCFC, I will not use it.

Waze is able to recognize that one is driving on an HOV or Express lane. It's also able to route using HOV and Express/Toll lanes, unlike AAOS Google Maps.
