Good news everyone! Residual value guides Cap Hpi and KeeResources says the Volvo XC40 beats its two main premium rivals, the Audi Q3 and BMW X1, when it comes to residuals.

The Volvo XC40 D3 Momentum in manual guise is estimated to be worth 43% of its cost new price after three years and 60,000 miles according to Cap HPI, and 46% according to KeeResources.

In comparison:
Audi Q3 Sport residuals are 36% and 42%
BMW X1 SE residuals are 38% and 44%

I'm more of a long term car owner so this doesn't really apply to me, but it may interest those who plan to resell it or on a lease.
