As @sbixby mentioned in a couple of posts, there is a Volvo-sponsored "Recharge Drivers Connect" site. Just received my invitation to participate today. There is a Volvo moderator/advocate (Jonathan Vance), but he appears to be just a conduit between owners and Volvo. A typical response is, "I will definitely pass this along to Volvo as it sounds like something they need to look into asap. Thank you for brining this up!"

Many of the same discussion topics as here -- the great key controversy, VOC, charging questions, update questions. The only advantage to the RDC Lounge is that there is a Volvo designee monitoring the discussions and passing feedback up the chain. A disadvantage is that posts are limited to 150 characters. I haven't seen any unique or surprising information on the site yet, not even in the NEWS section.

In my blog posting (yes, there's a private blog section that only moderator Jonathan sees) I suggested that RDC be offered to all P8 owners. I'll participate for a while to see whether Volvo actual uses this site to pass along useful information. So far, the info flow appears one-way.

I got an invite there as well. Alas when they asked if they could use data from any questions they asked for marketing and <something else> I said no so they immediately bounced me. I could not go back and change my mind :(

Made me wonder if they are legit or just after data to sell to companies.

The company is insites consorting seems they are a marketing company.

Seems they might work for or have a path to Volvo.

I have not received and invite yet, would be curious to join it and see any is up there. But if it is a mess maybe not worth it.

I wouldn't call it a "mess", but this forum is much more active and a real forum, the Connect site is more of a blogging format, and not all that many people. The one advantage is the (alleged) connection to Volvo.

If it is connected to Volvo and they see what is said it would be worth it, not that I think they will care too much. At this point their Customer Care folks have told me to deal with the dealer as the dealer is best to handle issues. The advantage to the site is if it is low traffic possible every voice gets heard more over a public site that has many posts and threads.
