The latest Volvo video for the EX90 with limited interior pics. Interesting!

I suspect the major difference may be the EX90 will not offer a leather interior like the Polestar 3. If that is the case, the video is serving the purpose of helping the buyer view a non-leather interior as being premium. The key may be linking the materials to Scandinavian design. Although the typical EX90 buyer might be able to afford a luxury vehicle, they might also be seeking a way to stretch their buying dollars and stay within the US cap of $80,000 for an SUV to obtain the rebate. (We know the Polestar 3 leather interior will cost $5,500.00.)

The EX90 is a sophisticated blend of (C40 + P3). I have a feeling the pricing is going to be somewhere in the range of 60-80K with three trim options like they have with the 2023 C40 with similar upholstery (wool) options. I have a deeper feeling that the EX90 is going to be a significant EV hit in the USA market, because a ton of families own the Gasoline/Hybrid model today. It's a great lookin flagship SUV (I drove the first generation 2004 XC90 2.5T FWD for 18 years).

The Polestar brand is going to have to continue to differentiate itself because the mothership is basically rolling out an EV that is essentially gifting Polestar their safety technologies and expertise. All well and good! There is going to have to be an expansion of the Polestar service outlets and a collaboration where if the P3 is going to be full sustaining, heavy selling, Polestars MUST be serviced at Volvo dealers in cities where Polestar doesn't exist.

I am fascinated with both the concept of utilizing context to simplify controls as well as the utilization of color within the driver display to help identify times when the driver should take control of automated driving. This is the first time I have seen any automotive company take this approach.
