Anyone else annoyed by it? I expected the c40 to be "calmer" on the freeway.

What vibration? My C40 is as smooth as glass.

That's nice. I can't stand mine. I miss the smoothness of an ICE vehicle. Literally 1 day in and I want to back to gas vehicles for the pure refinement of it all. To be fair though, I'm stepping from Acura to Volvo, so I suppose I need to also consider that compromises will have to be made.

I wish it was BS. So do my hands. Driving it is like brushing your teeth with an electric tooth brush...for however long your trip is. So when you're done, it feels like you hit a tree with a metal baseball bat. None of my ICE cars were ever like this. Miserable experience if there ever was one.
I have a Volvo XC60 and I'm waiting on my C40, don't know about the C40 yet but the XC60 is one of the smoothest car I've ever had, it directly compares to my 2021 air suspension Range Rover Sport. Volvos are great, I'd say even greater than Acura, so it should be a step up. Hopefully you'll be able to fix that because every c40 review I've read/watched says it is super smooth, best of luck!

This thing is anything but. Hopefully Volvo can fix it. So far though, this is the worst new car I've ever owned. I'm just afraid that people like the C40 and call it smooth b ecause they haven't owned something like a Mazda or Acura before like I have, and that these cars really are "just like this"

Yes, I totally get that! Matt from carwow said it's very smooth in his video (go to CarWow on youtube) and he always drives the most luxurious and expensive cars in the world so I believe it's supposed to be smooth

But if the C40 is anything like the XC60, it's super smooth and that is comparing it to a Range Rover Sport that is a 90 to 120 thousand dollar car with air suspension

Ah. Mine actually causes your hands to tingle for a long time after because the steering wheel resonance at highway speeds. Anything but smooth. Unimpressed. Maybe this is not the car for me. I'm going to call the dealer and see if they will replace the tires or something and see if that helps.

Yes, if I were you I'd contact the dealer, maybe you were unfortunate and got a faulty vehicle, either way its understandable why it would be a bad experience. Update if you find anything out, id love to know! Hope they fix it for you!

Your car clearly has a fault because if no othe owner on the forum is getting this and it is never mentioned in any reviews, then it is not a normal thing.

As a suggestion maybe you should also look at your posting style because right from the first repsonse you were told the C40 is perfectly smooth. Instead of a simple "maybe I will get the dealer to check it out", you got all trolly and passive aggressive.

If I can actually get it to a service center, I will be happy to update. Seems they are booked for weeks.

I feel that pain. I have a Jaguar I-Pace and have been told a broken air vent is on back order for months. One of my B pillar air vents is held on with duct tape :)

One other quick fix is to bring it for a tyre health check and wheel allignment. I have had cars in the past where this fixed some weird behaviour such as poorly centred wheels and vibration at certain speeds. Had a 3 day old Nissan that would vibrate from 45 - 55 mph and would go away above and below that range. The dealership said it was "within normal parameters" and refused to fix it. In the end this was fixed by a wheel alignment at my own cost.

Local BMW shop handled the rebalance on my dime already. No change. I'll call around the US and see which Volvo can actually handle this, but so far, I am missing owning a luxury car. This is absurd.
This may sound odd but how about booking a test drive in another C40? Just to check if it is normal or not. It would cost you nothing and at the very least put your mind at ease over how to proceed.

If I can find a dealer capable of servicing my car this month, I think I'll also do that. Might as well have the car in the shop at the same place I test drive at.
I have 5000+ highway miles on my C40 and no vibration of any kind. Lucky I guess.
I came from driving a clunky F150 and now I feel I am in heaven! Much too nice for the life I have lived! Ha!

I'm working with the original selling dealer. No dealer can get to the car within the month. They are hopefully going to find a solution.

Update: My selling dealer offered a carrier, or to let me drive it back. They will bump it in que and get to the bottom of it. THIS is the kind of service I expect on a new vehicle. Yes it sucks they are far from me, but that's not their fault nor was it a secret when I bought the car. I'm hopeful this is just alignment/tire/something simple and I can enjoy my C40 like others are!
If it vibrates to the point that your hands get tingly on the freeway, there's definitely something wrong with the car. I have driven my mom's '22 fat e-tron quite a bit, which is about as smooth as a vehicle could possibly get, and the C40 really isn't too far off from that car. Even my Model Y, which is notorious for harsh suspension setup, is quite smooth on the freeway.
