I love the P8 Recharge. But I also love moving towards the future and a lower emissions future at that And I want people to know that.
If I had purchased a Tesla, Mach-E, I3, Leaf or any number of uniquely platformed and designed cars, that commitment to the future would be obvious. But this new and unique car looks just like the ICE versions. The badging is unreadable and P8 means nothing to the car driving behind me. Even the “Recharge” on the C-pillar is nearly unreadable and looks too much like the “R-Design” that has been on the top ICE XC40s.
How can we advertise to the world that this is fully battery electric car?
I tried to get a unique license plate, which said “P8 Recharge Pure Electric - 300kW Dual Motor AWD”. But my wife said it looked like crap so it is in the trash now. I ordered a similarly worded vinyl sticker, but don’t think that will pass the spousal test either when it arrives.
Any ideas? Or do most of you think I am off my rocker?
BTW, I spent nearly the same amount on drilling 3 holes in my front yard and installed a pair of geo-thermal heat pumps. My few friends are tired of hearing about that experience and I don’t plan on putting a sign in the front yard advertising it.
