I have a new C40, delivered in Dec 2022. The car is mostly very good, but there are a few areas that are just no where near acceptable.
The app is bush league. You find yourself having to hit the pre-condition/warm function many times before it starts.
Often it won’t start. It just gives you a red warning that it “can’t” warm the car and battery. This can persist for days.
So you reinstall the app. Now you apparently need to have both keys (can’t confirm if that is in fact the case). Even then it may or may not even find those keys. Mine currently cannot find my keys or pair with my phone. Though the car can find my phone for other functions.
This kind of stuff is frustrating when it’s a $100 Bluetooth speaker. It’s unacceptable when it’s a luxury car.
The other area that is just plain awful is the rear view camera. You can barely see anything out of it (especially when judged against cars at the same price). The contrast of the night vision is also terrible. Reversing in rain at night is scary, and that’s coming from a guy who has owned mid-engined exotic.
The camera gets covered in huge rain droplets if there is any rain at all. There clearly isn’t enough overhang above it, so the water drips right on the lens.
Shame because the car is otherwise very accomplished.
