Has anyone had to replace the stop/start battery after only 28 months?
Car was registered June 2019 and I bought it 2 months ago with 32k kilometres on it, with 12 month Volvo Select warranty. After a few weeks started getting these warning messages:-
Stop/Start service required
Park assist temporarily unavailable
Power steering reduced
Parking Climate temporarily unavailable

Took to the garage yesterday and they said they had to replace the stop/start battery - which of course is not covered by Volvo select warranty.

Just seems strange that the battery would need replacing when it's a little over two years old?

This was a known issue on early latest gen XC90s. Thought they had cured it but maybe not. Talk to your dealer.

Interesting, I have exactly this issue atm. Dealer suggested it was due to short journeys (bit of a design flaw for a modern, urban car) and advised to do a couple of long runs but no change. Will book it in tomorrow. Astonishing that a premium car less than two years old should have these issues.
