I am a New York State resident.

I was just informed that my June order through the subscription program is being delayed because New York State has not yet approved the Care by Volvo program! Options seem to be 1) wait, no time estimate; 2) lease a different vehicle directly from a dealer; or 3) leave the program & get a refund of the deposit.

I uses to live in Westchester... (Yonkers)... where did you put a deposit down? Online? Does CT, NJ or PA have it?

I paid my deposit online. I'm not sure in what states Care by Volvo is available, but so far, not New York.

Not a very customer-friendly strategy by Volvo. It would have been better if they'd said at the time of my online application that "Care by Volvo is not currently available in your state and we have no idea of whether or when it will be."

Received an email yesterday (Saturday evening of Thanksgiving weekend!) that Care by Volvo has now been approved in New York State. Onward! :smile

Received notice on December 20 that the car had finally been delivered to the dealer (after arriving in the US on October 12), but the dealer, a week later, is still awaiting paperwork from Volvo before I can take possession.

A bit frustrating!

Finally!

Happy New Year! Do you have your car?
Picked up my car two days ago, 7 months to the day after I placed my order online. It was the first Care by Volvo sale the dealer had dealt with, and there were some rough spots in the overall process: when I placed the order, the process was not approved by New York State. The car sat at the port for 2+ months, and then sat again at the dealer for 3+ weeks.

But now I have the car and with the brief time I've had with it, it looks like it was worth the wait.

R-Design in Bursting Blue.
