Hello!

OTA (Over The Air) Software Updates
Updates in software version 2.11
  • The YouTube app.
  • Adds the ability to turn off the wireless phone charger.
  • Adds the ability to schedule the timing of future software installations (OTAs).
  • The towbar folding function has been improved to be more responsive.
  • Improvements to the cars visual position in the center display for the 360° camera.
  • Minor drivetrain adjustments that do not affect performance, certification, homologation, or environmental protection.
Which also answers... It's not 3.0. :)

LOL. This one was mostly luck. I saw a notification on my phone that said 2.11 ... but was barely awake and didn't see what it came from. But since I knew we were at 2.10 and expecting an update... I googled Volvo software update 2.11 and found a link. :) Me, impatient? :)

Europe also

It looks trimmed compared to the Volvo USA support site (no 360 cam update, hitch improvements, etc). Furthermore, it looks like YouTube won't be available in countries where Volvo doesn't offer Automotive Services through the inbuilt Volvo SIM card.

Interestingly, availability of the journal seems not to be tied to the country of registration/residence, but the location of the car or origin/destination of your route.
I generally have no issues with it, but my trip to/from France was not recorded, probably because it‘s not yet released for France.

Since we don't have the DJ in the States, I'm trying to figure out if we're really missing anything. I imagine the Journal's file strucutre is some kind of database, orgainized by day/time. What does one see when one opens the Journal? The Driving Journal's list of features says "information can be exported." Is that of any value? How would that work? I recall some users have opened a Journal file in a spreadsheet app but that's of zero interest to me.

I used it in my XC90 T8. I used to export it to a spreadsheet (there was an option to do this in the phone app) and keep track of my gas vs. electricity usage. IIRC it only saved the last 90 days. The fields were:

Category - Business, Personal, etc. editable by the user
Started - Date and time
Start odometer (miles)
Start address
Stopped - Date and time
End odometer (miles)
End address
Duration
Distance (miles)
Fuel consumption (gallons)
Title - There was some generic value but it could be edited by the user on the phone app
Battery consumption (kWh)
Battery regeneration (kWh)
User Notes - Editable by user
