I've had the XC40 for a couple of weeks now. After a bit of hit and miss, I finally got the right cord and was able to connect Android Auto. I've been using it without issue for well over a week.

This morning, I got in my car to go to work and saw this message, "SMS Service Unavailable" where the Android Auto usually shows up. It said to check the connection settings on the car, which I did, and all the boxes, including messages, were checked. Then, I checked my phone to make sure I hadn't accidentally unchecked something but everything there was fine, as well. I unpaired the phone and repaired and the same message immediately came up.

A search of the internet shows this has happened with XC60's, as well as XC90's.

Does anyone have any idea of what might be causing it and how to fix it?
