Slots all filled?

There are already more then 80.000 XC40 orders at the factory..
When you place order now for a XC40 it will be indeed manufacturer in 2019 same here in Europe.

We europeans have more problems our cars are specially made for us off course.We can off course put our car together they way we want it.
In the US you can only buy cars from stockpile that dealers order in various colors and so on but not configure you're own build. (so far I know)

Due to the high demand for the XC40 almost everybody has a delay. For instance I suppose to get my XC40 R-Design mid May.. this is now delayed till September.
The problem is that the suppliers cannot coop with the high demand in parts. They predicted off course a certain amount of XC40 orders but this has been exceed a lot.
On the moment there are about 5000 cars on the parkinglots at the factory that are build but missing some parts due to supplier delay.
So you get the issue for the customer that the car is build but cannot be sent on transport because some parts are missing.. These are not structural parts but interior trims, frames and so on.

And at the end of Juli the factory stops production for 3 weeks for maintenance and upgrades to the production line during the vacation time.

So this is the issue that we are all in with our ordered XC40's. Hopefully the suppliers keep up production during the production shutdown and create a stockpile of parts.
