When buying my car also purchased the Volvo service plan they offer 3 years for £399 or 5 years for £599 which you have to buy within 30 days of purchase of vehicle. This was not generally publicised when buying.Certainly a good deal
I took up the 3-year plan - it looked to be good value - but Volvo might have changed it recently.
My dealer registered my car on 30th September but it wasn't available for me to collect until several days later; when I queried this I was told that it was because the service plans were being changed at the end of September and they had to do this so that the one I had ordered with the car would not be affected. This didn't quite ring true, but it didn't seem worth arguing about, even though I effectively lost a month of my £530 1st year road tax because of the early registration. Only later did the thought cross my mind that the dealer might have done it to meet his September target..... and now I'm a bit more annoyed about the £44 loss.
