I've had my XC40 for ten months now with 13,000 miles. The only real issue I've had is that the Sensus software occasionally act strange. About once a month, it will lose the iPhone favorites I've set and the travel odometer resets to zero. At other times, the radio station will spontaneously switch to another channel. Even the Sirius channels have jumped from one to another.

I've had the XC40 in twice for software upgrades and as far as I know, its current.

Has anyone else had these problems?

I haven't seen this reported elsewhere yet, but it sounds like there are still some bugs lurking in the software. At least losing presets is more of an annoyance than actual issue.

Any chance that the battery is somehow losing connection? Have you confirmed that the terminals are clean and secured properly?

I would suggest you recommend they do a hardware reset because like issues we have with PC's, that's an easy route to find a fix or to at least eliminate possible resolutions.

Sometimes however a good dealer or even good corporate relations team resolves it by providing you another physical hardware/software install or a new vehicle. Volvo is at the point they could do that

I think the battery is unlikely. Just today it spontaneously jumped from one FM station to another and I don't see how a loose battery connection could do that,.

I'll talk to them about escalating the fix and to consider a new hardware/software module.

Likely not your problem, but I've found it easy to change the radio station accidentally by brushing the right keypad on the steering wheel, especially while turning.

You have a good point. I may be accidentally changing the radio station as you describe. I'll take note of that.
