I have seen a lot of people having issues with multiple apps (Spotify, SiriusXM, etc). A possible solution that I have learned from using Android phones is that you can force close the app and clear the cache and this often resolves minor issues. You need to go to settings, applications and then select the specific app and push "force stop" and "clear cache". This doesn't happen often on my pixel phone but definitely more often than iPhones. I have had to do this twice for Spotify. Recently the Spotify app would not stop playing music and the actual physical pause button and onscreen pause would not work. I realized other people might not know this if they don't have an Android phone.
