Hello, I am a new XC40 Volvo owner.
I ordered my car on August 31, 2018 and received it only on April 30th 2019 (long wait)!
It is an Inscription model, silver, with the interior black.
I was previously owner of a V50 2009.
I like the car in general but I found a lack of finish (excuse my English- as it is not my native language) on the rear seat under the headrests. (see photos).
When I reclined the headrests to improve rear visibility, it appears that there is no plastic contouring around the headrest insert and it seems to me as a lack of finish.

I contacted my local dealer and they told me that they had a RDesign in the showroom that was in the same condition and they were surprised about that.
They checked with the service department and they did not see any part that would fit or contouring the hole in the parts manual.

The dealer filled a request to question Volvo (Sweden) and I should have some information in a few weeks.

Is there some of you who have noticed the same ''kind of finish'' on your XC40?

Thanks,

Christian

Yes, you are right, but my cargo cover will most often, if not permanently, removed. And,according to the dealer, the finish is a lot better on the xc60 and the xc90 as both cars have the contouring sewed.
I believe Volvo tried to save on very small things and it is always visible each time I open the rear gate.
