Surely by now Volvo knows what's wrong and, if they haven't fixed it, based on other examples when known issues have dragged out, they probably won't. They have probably decided the few stragglers still relying on in-car navigation aren't worth the investment in whatever fix (or contract) is needed.
Here in Australia we had it working for about an hour the other day, but that's all. They must be testing something for that to happen.

I am in Turkiye and follow up the issue. I am expecting a letter from Volcar ( Service in Izmir City) saying there is no solution to the problem and I will file a lawsuit.

When I sent a message for this issue, Volvo Int, Volvo Turkiye and my service do not reply. They bury their heads in the sand like ostriches.

I will inform you the details.

I'm in Boston area. 2019 XC40...stopped working back in March maybe. Came on for a day and now gone. I've been to dealer 2x. They are baffled. Who can I contact at Volvo?
My service man was able to get live traffic when he connected his IPhone Hotspot. I'm unable to do so.
Will be following this thread.

Which parts changed in 5 years.

3 pcs left axle, THEY ARE USING REBUILD SPARE PART
4 pcs right axle, THEY ARE USING REBUILD SPARE PART
1 air conditioner compressor
3 pcs trunk shock absorber
1 right mirror head
left and right coil spring
left and right shock absorber

This is my first volvo and my last volvo.

DO NOT APPROACH THE VOLVO XC40 MORE THAN 10 METERS FOR YOUR MIND SAFETY.
 
I've given up, purchased an Ottocast Wireless Apple Carplay, can now get either Apple Maps or Google maps, both far better than the Volvo system and all the other apps like spotify run about 10 times faster through Apple Car play via my phone. Cost? AUD$69.00.
