R-Design Seats

If you’ve already received your R-Design, how do you like the seat material? Are you finding they collect a lot of particles, like fuzz, lint, pet hair, crumbs? I have a dog and that is my primary concern (pet hair, slobber, etc.). Other than that, love the look of it all.

Any comments or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

I rode in one that belonged to a sales guy at the dealership and the seats didn’t look great, but he might have been a slob. :)

I bought a Momentum precisely because of the seats in the R-Design. That Alcantara material is a lint and dirt magnet. I’ve seen it in other cars and it’s the same thing. I would have loved to have gotten the R-Design otherwise. I just couldn’t get past the seats.

I agree. I want the R-Design, but the seats might be a deal breaker. I wish they would’ve made the Alcantara optional and I keep trying to talk myself into them, but I think the materialmight always bother me. I’m glad I’m not the only one.

I have an order in for the Inscription.

I took delivery of my R-Design 12 days ago. Love the seats -- they don'y get hot in direct sun the way the black leather in my last Audi Q3. I don't have a dog so I can't speak to that issue.
I was allowed to order my R design with the full leather seats thankfully

You were able to order the r-design in full leather, no nubuck? Color choices too? I have similar concerns as mentioned about nubuck. I am in a beach area and worried about sand, dirt and how it reacts to getting a little wet. Full leather would be a nice option.
Yep sure was. It was a no cost option here in Australia with the full choice of colours from the momentum line.
Don't let the seats stop you from getting the vehicle you really want. Something like this is all you need if you're worried about the seat material:

Australia. Okay. Well that sucks for the USA.

I hope i can do this. I want to order the R Design but i want the blonde interior. I was thinking i can just order the inscription and have the roof wrapped in black but that would be an extra cost.
Same here in Malta. CAnt get Rdesign in all leather. I went for inscription as i didnt want the black alcantara. Kids... haha
I wanted the R-Design as well but only if I could get all leather seats. I continuously raise puppies for a service dog training program and was not willing to risk dog hair and muddy paws on the Alcantera fabric. I ordered an Inscription in May and just picked it up last week (USA). Love it but still miss the black roof and trim of the R-Design!

I have a dog who's a massive shedder. The R-Design seats definitely show the fur and are harder to keep clean vs. leather or faux leather. They also just aren't as comfortable. I'd still do it again, though, because the added R-Design features are important to me.

I am shopping for the XC 40 T5 R design vehicle but I don’t like the interior. I looked into what it would cost to replace the charcoal or black seats with Katzkin and they don’t make a seat for Volvo. I even called the company. They referred me to Leather seats. Roadwire makes a leather seat in Fog which is the closest match to the Blond. I have not had any experience with Roadwire products compared to Katzkin and there aren’t many customer reviews to look at. I think Volvo has made a mistake with the limited seat and interior options and it may make me look for something different. Jeep Rubicon interior and the 4 Runner are also ugly in my opinion.
This forum has been useful.

How did you do that. Online its not available so how do you get around that?
