Hey there!

Glad to be a new Volvo parent! Our spanking new XC-40 was delivered to us in late November 2018, after the all too familiar 7 month gestation period. LOL. WE LOVE IT! Having been loyal VW owners for 20 years we decided we needed a change (but not too big a change... alphabetically we're next door neighbours). Ours is; bright silver with 19" wheels, lava orange interior with all the bells and whistles. We keep looking for excuses to go out and drive. There is a favourite Ice Cream shop we like to go to during the summer months on our way out of town on our way to the cottage. We've been there 3 times already this winter... by the way it's 80 miles away. Told you we love the XC-40 (and ice cream).

I'm just wondering about the Volvo community in general. VW is great at building a sense of pride of ownership with club exclusive get togethers and incentives that can only help their brand. Does Volvo do anything like that?

Welcome to the forum and to Volvo! This is a great place to try and organize get togethers with fellow members in your area and there are a bunch of Volvo owners clubs in Canada, the U.S and the UK.
Glad to have you join us.

I think Volvo can do well at building a sense of pride and culture among owners with Polestar accessories we can buy. Not everyone wants to pay 30-40% more just to get a Polestar model.
Liken it to how Lexus does F-Sport, how BMW does M Sport, Audi to S-Line and etc. Its a time proven method.
Busyguy4, welcome to the forum! I'm glad to hear that your enjoying your vehicle! I would love to drive mine but the weather/drivers here in Nebraska are both pretty bad. I've had people park so close to me that I could barely open the driver side door (dorks). I pray that the spring brings better weather and long road trips for ice cream as well! Let us know the good/bad you have with your vehicle. Thanks in advance and take care!
Congrats and welcome to the community. Always a good sign with a new car that you are looking for excuses to get out and drive it. Facebook or other social media sites would probably be another great place to find fellow Volvo enthusiasts.
