Car And Driver magazine new article: "THESE SIX-FIGURE ELECTRIC SUVS ARE THE LATEST IN MEGA-POWERFUL PEACOCKING." (sorry, link is to Apple News or you will need subscription access behind C&D magazine's paywall)

What does $100k+ get you in a conventional, non-wing doored, electric SUV? C&D's clever and outspoken contributor, Dave VanderWerp, delightfully skewers the Rivian R1S and the M60 version of BMW’s iX, both top-end ESUVs, for their pretentiousness and numerous flaws. A fun read with all the research and experience behind the wheels to back up VanderWerp's many quips and barbs.
Comparison synopses between the two units:
RIVIAN: PLUS Fresh thinking abounds, gorgeous interior, boxy good looks. MINUS A plethora of ride and handling sins, far less efficient than the iX. EQUALS The one to be seen in, but not the one to drive.
BMW: PLUS Throwback-BMW dynamic goodness, EPA-range-beating efficiency, superb second-row comfort. MINUS Funky futuristic looks, far less interior and cargo space. EQUALS BMW’s best efforts of late are EVs.

Consumer Reports drops "recommended" for Ford Mach-e

Teslarati rats out Mustang

Mustang Mach-E owners reported issues with the display screen, which freezes up at times, as well as the vehicle’s charging system. Issues were also reported on the Mach-E’s electrical problems, and some also encountered battery issues.
Ford, for its part, has issued a statement on the matter. According to the veteran automaker, the issues that were outlined in Consumer Reports’ surveys have already been addressed. The company also made it a point to highlight that it is doing what it can to ensure that the Mach-E is steadily improved.
