Problem with iPhone and XC40 - can you help?

I have the latest software update on my iPhone 7+...

But:

When I ask my new 2020 XC40 (Inscription) via voice command to call a contact, it finds my contact... BUT... the call switches to my iPhone (instead of using the car's speaker and microphone).

Can I have my phone call go through the car instead?

I have played around with settings for 3 weeks straight now... I am stumped. Can you help me?

Actually, it was my fault.

I had my iPhone's "Call Audio Routing" feature set to "Speaker". I just switched it to "Automatic" and it is working flawlessly.

The "Call Audio Routing" is found in:
Settings>Accessibility>Touch
