Is it possible to download mp3 audio files on a thumb drive & play on a XC40 Recharge?
Can I format the thumb drive on a Mac computer? Which format?
Would it show on the center screen by using the media button?
Also should you use the usb-c with the white ring?
Thanks for any help.

This topic has been much discussed on the Recharge forum. A search under MP3 or bluetooth players might give you information.

Essentially, the Recharged does not allow for any direct connection through the USB C ports. The ports, as configured, only allow for charging. They do not allow for any data exchange.

The only way to play music form a player is through the bluetooth connection. That can be done by streaming from your phone or an MP3 player with blue tooth connections.

Using the USB C does not do anything other than charge a device.

So, use your phone with bluetooth, or use a player with bluetooth capabilities. Not all bluetooth players work with every car. It is recommended to keep the receipt in case of a connection issue.

When connected, the bluetooth media will show the player and the song. it will not show the play list. This is controlled through the player.
