Ordered the R-design the end of March for my wife. Just got notification that it will build on June 5th and arrive at my dealer in Athens, Georgia on or about July 7th.

First Volvo. Actually I drive a BMW X6, this is for my wife. Thought the new XC40 would be perfect for her. Ordered the Fusan Red, 20" rims, all options except heated seats....we live in the South.
Love the red, ordered it on my Momentum. Does your R red have two tones or is it all red?

Fusion Red
It is two tone with the black top. I hesitated to order the red color because the the shade of red in pics and videos I had looked at were not consistent. Some shots showed a real orange/red which I do not care for. Other shots show a brownish/red shade. Most of the videos showing a red shade were overseas where maybe their colors are different. I am hoping for a bright red.

Me too, or at least my wife is.:winkI am hoping for a bright red.
Went to the dealer and looked at a XC60 which is the only car I could find with the same Fusion Red Metalic. There is some orange in there somewhere since it really is bright but not an issue to my eye. My wife likes the color which is even more important. I'm glad I got to see the color on a car as on paper/computer screen really does not address color well if that is an important feature and it is to us. Maybe go look at another Volvo in that color?

A detailer I know always suggests going a few hours before close so you can see it in the sun and have someone to move it around for you.
Better if you can go for a 1/2 day test drive, if you're serious about getting this or any new vehicle for that matter.
