Multiple sources seem to indicate that a 2026 XC 40 EV will not be coming to the US. Likely tariff related but not good news as little to choose from as my lease is nearing its end. Rebates now gone as well. I drove the EX30 but too small and relatively expensive for what you get. Seems a bit cheap inside although fun to drive. No Sirius radio which is probably a cost cutting issue. Now thinking of going to a Mach E although I’ e owned many Volvos over the years. Interested in hearing from others.

The Mach E is much better looking and visually appealing than the XC40 or now the EX40 for sure. But the Volvo C or now the EC40 is the beast of beautiful designs when it comes to look. I cannot tell you how many times people have stopped and complimented me for the looks of it. There are much options now than many years ago. Evaluate critically for your want, needs and you’ll find a good fit.

Volvo is likely going to be ALL in on SUVs Hybrid and ICE for the next many years to come. Their all EV philosophy from Jim Rowan their former CEO was a total bust and caused them to lose a lot of money! Their good thing is they had a broad lineup in hybrids that saved their behinds! They’ll never make the same mistake again!
