The time in the middle is also too small to glance at easily while driving. Really disappointed with the whole drivers display honestly, I was expecting some sort of customisation but it is just black screen or a map. Am I missing something here?

The little Volvo EVs have never been promoted as crammed with display tech. Heck, the EX30 has only one center console screen; no driver display at all. Sell the car. Or wait to see what happens over the next few months.There are so many OS features and abilities we'd would like to see improved, added, or changed. Updates to the OS might or might not satisfy your specific desires

You can research the upcoming version of Apple CarPlay, and hope for the best, but we don't know definitively if the Volvos have the hardware to support the new CP.

Google built-In continues to evolve quickly. In fact, I think we've seen more progress on the OS in the last six months than in the previous two years.
