Here’s a new one (I think). My partner went out to the car to go for a drive and got in and noticed the heated seat and steering wheel were on. He switched them off, then drove. Got out, locked car, did shopping, came back to car, unlocked and drove off, and the heated seat and steering wheel were on again. He tried switching off, getting out, locking car, unlocking, driving again and they came back on again. Why isn’t the profile remembering his seat heat and steering wheel heat settings (off)? Hmm…I vaguely remember somebody mentioning auto-seat heat and steering wheel setting based on outside temp - could that be it?

Sorry I think it’s a false alarm. We’ll have to check settings but this is the first time ambient temp has been low so I think the automatic seat/wheel heat must be switched on.

I wonder what the low temperature threshold is for that setting. Speaking of this, the XC40 is the only car I've owned where the heated seats and wheel automatically turn back on if you don't turn them off before getting out of the car.
Yeah, good question. We’re in rural VIC, Australia, and picked up the car in late Sep last year (mid-spring)…today I think it was only 2C here overnight (coldest day so far here in 2022). I don’t think it was that cold in the garage where the car was parked…maybe 8-10C?
