Is the only way to get navigation to order the Multimedia Package? Do don't really need the upgraded speakers.

If you don't get the navigation, what can you show in the driver screen? For example, can you show Android Auto there and see that navigation?

Yes, according to the US configurator the only way to get navigation is to include the Multimedia Package.
However, since smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto is a standard feature, you can use this integration to display the modified Google Maps app on your integrated screen and use that for navigation including turn-by-turn voice prompts. I have been using this (Android Auto) for navigation in another car and it works fine. You do need to have a cell phone signal for the navigation data or download the required maps before you travel. Also keep in mind that smartphone integration only works while the phone is physically connected to the car with a USB cable.

I understand Android Auto and how it displays on the infotainment screen. Can you display it on the driver screen and if not what can you show there if you don't get the Navigation package?

OK, now I understand what you meant with 'driver screen'. You are referring to the TFT display in the instrument cluster in front of the driver. I don't believe there is a way to display any Android Auto information on that screen, although attempts have been made (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcb-software-development/android-cluster-display-project-relay-t3253995).
