That's awesome, I think you'll be one of the first US owners to take delivery. I know there is another user on here who was supposed to take delivery on the 19th of March in Belgium.
Please post on your progress. Since you have a VIN and its in the US what is the hold up? Must be really frustrating. I know subscriptions are a new way to 'buy' a car and there is a lot of demand for the XC40 but this is the kind of problem a lot of car companies would like to have.I ordered mine in February, completed build in April, arrived to Port Hueneme, CA, on May 12th, still haven't taken delivery and it hasn't made it to the dealership. As far as I know, it's still at the port. It's only 168 miles from port to dealership, so it's just been a very frustrating delay caused by unknown reasons.
I appreciate your progress report. Hopefully you will receive your car soon and be happy with it. While Volvo corporate and dealers are primary sources of information it may be that other owners will have the most useful info.Delivery scheduled for July 9... This after several missed deadlines by Volvo Car USA. First they projected delivery on the second week of April, then 'sometime in May', in May it was going to be 'in a few short weeks' and now June has also passed. One last obstacle was the credit check: I have a freeze on all my credit reports after being part of some of the recent data breaches of large insurers and retailers. As a result Volvo Car Finance could not obtain my credit report and they simply denied me instead of contacting me to unfreeze my report... After that was resolved my car was finally shipped from the port to the dealer, expected to arrive there later this week and delivery scheduled for Monday July 9th. I will be the first 'Care by Volvo' car to be delivered by this dealer.:grin
