Hello friends. My XC40 P8 has 121,000km on it. It is the most driven 100% electric Volvo in Brazil. I would like help to find out if it is the most driven in the world. Follow on instagram @diariodocarroeletrico. Thanks!

What is your battery capacity now? Do you do a lot of DCFC?

A lot! When I travel, I always charge at 50kW and 150kW, however, every night I charge at AC in my house. I haven’t noticed any change in the car’s range so far.
Yesterday I did the 120.000 Km service. I spent R$499,00, something around U$100,00 or €93,00

The ultimate in curiosity is how long one of these lasts beyond the typical service of brakes, tires, coolant, cabin filters. At what point does an XC40/C40/Tesla just poop out? Never?? A slow battery life degradation the only issue? Software issues maybe (some yes, some no).
Wow! That's impressive! Hopefully, it has been 120k+ kilometers of trouble free ownership? What are the notable things (expenses) from your experience so far?

Never! The only maintenance is changing tires. Not even the brake pads wear out! See my video in Portuguese showing pads with 120,000 km compared to new pads.

Tire change only! Not even the brake pads wear out...!

Don’t forget to change the cabin air filter.

Amazing! Thank you for sharing. How are the rotors so clean? Brake service cleaning? This is really encouraging for those that have been lucky to have no huge issues with their XC40. Optimism rising =)

So far the only recurring problem part is the front shock absorber bearing (the same one on the 2012 Ford Focus!). The rest is perfect!

Virtually zero maintenance. In revisions, only brake fluids and battery temperature control fluid are checked. Changed the cabin filter and nothing else.
g problem part is the front shock absorber bearing (the same
Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look at that and maybe an upgrade to the shocks is what is needed anyway given how bouncy the car feels over even slightly rougher roads.

Exactly. Apparently the front springs have a sharp corner directly in contact with the hard plastic bearing. Perhaps a rubber ring between the parts will solve the problem.

The problem is that Volvo doesn't know how to solve the problem.

First they change the supports or the upper pads of the shock absorber on the right side, we drove 4,000kms in our case, always on a road with good asphalt and it came back. Now it was the front and rear shock on the right (behind for another reason) and the front came back. The rear was the zipper of the suitcase that was poorly mounted....
Before they changed it at the dealership, I asked why they put new shock absorbers on the car? They said that the factory sent it.... since they didn't have the guarantee that it will solve it. I warned that I would only know that it would resolve after driving more than 4,000 km and only after that I could say if it resolved.
We've done 3,000 kms and it's already making noise again. It was clear that it didn't work. As they change the stops or the crackers or something the noise disappears, after they do retightening or something like that, after a few kms it comes back. The same thing happened with the damper....
I don't know what else to think...the best thing is to lift the radio and forget that the problem exists and apparently it is common to a large batch of cars and the factory is unable to solve the problem.
The serious thing is when the car doesn't just have these problems...

You are right. They don't do an analysis of the reason for the problem, they just change the parts. This happens here in Brazil too.
