Hi friends,

I scheduled an appointment to get the heat pump fix and most recent software update. Volvo being Volvo, automatically set me up with a loaner car. More nearest Volvo is a paid bridge crossing and I am not a huge fan of taking loaners with me back into the city. So my question is, did this process actually take more than a few hours? I deliberately scheduled at the start of the day so I could losing my car overnight...

I got the latest software update - took it in at 9:30am, they gave me a loaner. Called around 3pm on the same day to come pick my car up.

We haven't seen any of the OTA updates from Volvo yet ourselves. But based on posts from Polestar2 owners (who have seen at least one or two of them), it can take up to 90 minutes to install the new software. During which time the car will be inoperable. Not sure if the dealer has a faster way to do it vs. normal OTA update process.

I dropped mine off at 7 am and got the call to pick up at 4 pm. But I also told them I didn’t need the car back that day, so I’m sure mine was shuffled down in terms of priority. They also only have one P8 tech.
