Hi, I am Frank aka: 'yakers' I'm a kayaker and plan to cart my kayaks around in my XC40 when it arrives. I ordered yesterday and so this is all a new process to me. Hope to hear from others how their ordering and delivery went. I understand from a brief discussion with the dealer and Volvo service that I can expect delivery in July which is great for me as I will be traveling a lot in May and June and would hate to have a new car sitting unused at home. I ordered a Momentum, nice packages. Not a financial issue, I liked everything about the R except the wheels, I WANT smaller wheels and fatter tires for the ride and dirt roads.
I am replacing a 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD (diesel) which was totaled. Great vehicle, took it across Alaska and Canada on the Dempster and off road at Death Valley. Will not do the same off roading with the XC40 but still plan to have dirt road adventures.
