For anyone interested, Google has a way to directly report problems or suggest feedback regarding AAOS.
Volvo mentions the link here which points to the following Google instructions:

Send feedback about Google apps in your car - Use Google apps and services built into your car

Report a problem or feature request​

Important: You must be parked to type or submit a feedback report.​

1. On your car display, open Settings.
   1. Tap Google
      Send feedback to Google.
2. Fill out the feedback report. Include information like:
   • What you were doing when the problem occurred.
     • What you expected to happen.
     • What actually happened.
   • Tap Send.
