Wow. Only other thing I'd say, is it really needs 450-500hp, 130+mph top speed, get rid of the stupid staggered tire setup and go squared, and fix the suspension, and it would literally be one of the best EV's out there. Solid improvement, Volvo!

Last week I drove the Polestar 2 with the performance package and I have to say and even though its an EV, it's the most amazing car I have ever driven. I used to have Group N turbo rally cars back in Europe and I am used to performance but this experience really shows that Volvo/Polestar is top of it's class. The new MY24 will be even better for both manufacturers with more range, power, drivetrains options etc.
The one thing impressed me with Polestar was the fit and finish. The MY23 prices are dropping a bit to make way for MY24, but the wife likes the new options that are about to be released. She said she may even trade up to the newer AWD C40 as hers has been 100% reliable for her. Either way, Volvo/Polestar I feel from what I'm seeing are making the most advances as of right now.

if you compare like with like, especially for the single motor (not extended) with the 69kWh battery, the increase for the C40 is 432km to 477km, ie 45km, roughly 9.4%

if the single motor extended range is taken into consideration (battery increased to 82kwh), range increases by 118km, roughly 21.5%, the AWD gets a battery increase to 82kwh and a range increase of 134km, roughly 23%.

it can be said, RWD and the new motor increased range by roughly 10%, but it is indeed the increase battery size that makes the big punch

Twin like for like is 449 to 550, which is an improvement of 22.5%, which can probably be attributed mostly to an increase in net battery capacity from 75kWh to 79kWh, a more efficient PSM on the rear axle and the switch from PSM to ASM on the front axle.
I‘ve placed an order for a C40 Twin back in january and I‘m really happy about another 45km increase over what was quoted in my order back then.

I take it this isn’t coming via software to older models?
The topic of increased range after recent OS upgrades has yet to be explained but one thing is clear: the battery unit did not change. So the range improvements can only come from efficiency tweaks and better algorithms that report more accurately on the battery usage. I guess. Not an engineer. I knew what the C40 Twin’s range was when i bought it. However, like many new owners, I was appalled at the diminished battery capacity caused by cold temperatures and the consumption of the cabin comfort systems, even the heat pump.

The C40 AWD is screaming amazing! She’ll never go wrong if that’s what she wants.

I think they still have some work to do on those algorithms! I can unplug my '22 C40, start driving, and at the first stop sign about 0.5 miles into my trip, my consumption usually shows as OVER 100 kWh/100mi. I don't have any idea why. Obviously it drops into the normal range as I continue to drive, but what's going on at that start?

I would assume heating up the cabin plays a role here for the first few minutes at low speeds with stops.
