The console is awkwardly deep and not easy to organize. I found on Ebay a nice tray to sit in the console to better utilize the space. Has anybody found a hinged upper tray for the console? Then in could be raised to allow access to the lower area. Otherwise, I guess I'll have to figure out how to fabricate this.

I just got this: Amazon.com: Salusy Car Center Console Armrest Box Glove Box Secondary Storage Tray Compatible with Volvo XC40 SUV 2019: Home Improvement
It fits well in my 2020 XC40 and seems quite functional. The Amazon Prime price of $13.66 price wasn't the lowest, but it arrived in two days.

Thanks to TonyK. I Picked up a similar one on Amazon. It helps enormously, but I wish I could find one that hinges up instead of just sitting on top. Maybe I'm asking too much. If I can figure out a way to install a hinge, I'll let you know.
