Volvo and Polestar to add Apple CarPlay to their vehicles in the next update

A new over-the-air update will see Apple CarPlay installed in select Volvo and Polestar vehicles going forward

I'm not saying they're wrong, but I wonder what the source is for this article other than the tweet from Polestar. If Volvo made an official announcement I can't find it, does anyone know where it is?

I for one am frustrated that they seem to be neglecting Android Auto and only following through with Apple CarPlay. Us Android users are just as annoyed as iOS users are with the pathetic selection of apps released for AAOS! Is there any other car out there that only implements one of these but not the other?

Pretty sure acuras have carplay only and not aa unless that has changed more recently.

A quick sampling of current models on their website shows they have both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
